Deep in the heart of the Celebes Sea, lies one of Asia's best-kept secrets. On a sandbar above the Ligitan Reefs, and in between Sipadan and Mabul Island, is where one would find the evercaptivating Kapalai.
Kapalai is a sandbar, exposed only at low tide, with a single wooden resort on stilts sitting atop it.The coral reefs at first glance do not look very picturesque and inviting. However, it is a diversity of macro animals inhabiting the coral rubble and sea grass sites that put Pulau Kapalai on the diving map.
